Awaken the Depth of Your Being
A profound 6-day retreat for those ready to step into deeper connection—with themselves, with others, and with the sacred essence of life.
Rooted in the teachings of Tantra, somatic embodiment, breathwork, and devotional practice, this retreat offers a transformative container to explore intimacy, truth, and love. Whether you are single or in partnership, you will be guided through a powerful journey of self-inquiry, relational attunement, and deepened presence.
Through connective practices, Somadelic Breathwork, Kirtan, and embodied sensuality, we cultivate a safe space for exploration, vulnerability, and profound shifts in how we relate to ourselves and others.

A Sanctuary for Transformation
Nestled within the folds of Topanga Canyon, the Mountain Mermaid is a place where time softens and the nervous system can finally exhale. Nearly a century old, this storied sanctuary has long been a refuge for artists, seekers, and those drawn to live a little closer to truth.
Surrounded by canyon light, ancient trees, and quiet beauty, you’ll be held by a space that invites slowing down without effort. Nourishing meals, intimate gathering spaces, and the gentle rhythm of the land support a return to presence—both with yourself and with others.
Here, you are invited to listen more closely.

Retreat Flow
A Journey Through the 5 Layers of You
Each day of the retreat is designed to guide you deeper into a specific layer of your being, creating an embodied and integrative journey of awakening:
Day 1: The Living Body
The body doesn’t lie, but it does remember. In this layer, we slow down enough to feel what’s actually happening rather than what we’ve learned to override. By listening closely, we begin to release old patterns and reactions that keep us from being fully present with our lives as they are now.
Day 2: The Story Making Mind
Our minds are meaning-making machines. Here, we explore the stories we’ve been telling ourselves—about love, safety, worth, and possibility—and how they quietly shape our choices and relationships. By widening perspective, clarity emerges. What’s true becomes easier to see. What’s limiting begins to loosen.
Day 3: Subtle Awareness
Some patterns don’t live in the mind or the body—they live in the space just before action. In this layer, we work with the subtle body: the small signals, sensations, and energetic movements that arise before habit takes over. This is where real choice is born, and where deep shifts can happen with very little force.
Day 4: The Creative Void
Fear and possibility often sit in the same place. This layer invites you to meet uncertainty differently—not as something to control, but as a gateway to creation. By stepping into the unknown with awareness, we loosen old survival strategies and open space for new realities to emerge.
Day 5: Embodied Bliss
Bliss isn’t bypassing pain—it’s what becomes available once the system feels safe enough to receive. This final layer is about letting yourself feel what you truly want: pleasure, joy, intimacy, and aliveness. Not as fantasy—but as something you can actually inhabit, savor, and embody in your real life.
This isn’t a linear process. It’s a spiral. A remembering.

Where Land Becomes Teacher: The Mythic Field of Topanga

Topanga Canyon has long been honored as a place where intuition sharpens, the veil thins, and the deeper currents of self rise to the surface. Indigenous peoples recognized its spiritual charge, and generations of artists, seekers, and mystics have been drawn here for the same reason—this land opens something.
At the Mountain Mermaid, that energy becomes palpable.
The canyon’s quiet vastness, the Mermaid’s nearly century-old history, the golden light that spills into each room… all of it creates a field where the body softens, the nervous system unwinds, and the soul feels safe enough to speak.
This is why Embodying Essence lives here.
Transformation doesn’t need to be forced—here, it naturally unfolds.
The land itself holds the container, inviting you into truth, presence, and deeper intimacy with your own essence.
